Turns out Elsa hadn’t left for Radon’s house, she wanted to but then she couldn’t leave Marina alone as she’s afraid she might do something stupid. Hearing her speak to Sean on phone and how Sean wasn’t ready to stand by her, Elsa felt hurt.

Marina had hurt her so many times, more like all through her life, but no matter what happened, she’s still her sister. Elsa walked away Marina’s room and went to hers, shutting the door behind. she was about sitting down when her phone rang.

She looked at the ID and it was Marina’s mom, her step mother. Elsa assumed she might have called Marina and when she wasn’t answering , she decided to call her instead.

“Hi, Mom?” Elsa said when she picked up the call.

“Marina is pregnant??”

Elsa stared at the ID again and felt cold chill ran down her body, She didn’t remember telling her mom or dad about the news and as far as she know, no one knows about it yet expect Sean, and Marina will be too scared to even break the new to her mother, so how did she find out?

“Am at the door” Her voice break into Elsa’s world and she knew, there’s no way she can lie about the pregnancy.

Mariana and Elsa sit their already conscience mom on the couch as she looks down at Mariana, Rage , anger and lots of emotions spread across her face.

Elsa sit on the single couch and stare at their mom. Marina stands at a corner with her hands cross.

” What were you thinking ? Getting pregnant for your bartender?. You had to sleep with a bartender Marina. A married one with a kid.” Mia, their Mom leans her elbows on her knees and holds her head.

” Is he aware ?” Mia asks. Marina bites her bottom lip and shakes her head sideways.

” He’s not aware ?” Mia flare up. She stands to her feet and almost rush after Mariana.

” Mom , calm down.” Elsa stood up to hold her.

” You’re going to suffer Mariana. We made sure you had a good life. I always advised you after I noticed you sleep around. We talked to you. But no , you’re this wayward freak who always wants a penis. Make sure you don’t come home for holidays or even Christmas. I and your father will stop paying your tuition fee and I hope your bartender boyfriend will see you though college.”

” Mom , you can’t do this to me.” Marina burst out.

” Really ? You’re a disgrace Mar. You brought nothing but disgrace to our family. Family we’ve been keeping it’s good name for a long time. I don’t want to see you and your disgrace of a baby around my house. You have the guts to ruin the family’s reputation. Don’t ever call me mom and I don’t want to see you around my house , you cheap slut.”

” Mom , don’t do this to her.” Elsa chip in.

Mia ignores her and continues.” You’re not a part of our family anymore. I cut you out and I don’t want to see you around the house. Whore.” She picks up her cardigan and bag as she stands up.

” Mom. She can’t cope. She’s pregnant , mother.” Elsa try to convince their mother.

Maybe she’s not supposed to be doing this but she just can’t stand suffering even if Mariana gave her that in hundred folds.

” Don’t worry Elsa , she will be fine. Maybe she needs to pick well before spreading her legs like a damn rumor. I bet he’s not going to take you in because he’s got a wife and a child. I advise you don’t go knocking on his door to tell him about your stupid pregnancy if you don’t want to get disgraced.” Mia looks down at Marina in disgust as she walks out.

Marina breaks down as she cries. Elsa watch her with so much pity. Maybe she deserves it same time she doesn’t deserve it.

” Marina I…” She raises her forefinger up.

” Shut your cunt mouth and mind your business. I don’t need your pity because it’s useless and fake. Don’t try to preach to me that you’ll talk to Mom and give me your terrible pity speech.” She wipes her eyes and sit on the floor.

” Oh fuck…” Marina screams and slouch on the couch.

” Marina..” Elsa calls out to her again.

” Leave me the fuck alone. You depressed fucker.” She yells at her and stand up to her feet as she walks away.

Elsa puff out her breath and pick up her phone and car keys as she walk out of the apartment. She slide into her car and turn on the radio to help her forget about what happened. She needs to talk to her parents especially her dad. He’s sometimes better than Marina’s Mom . He listens sometimes and he’s a soft hearted person. Marina’s Mom’s this African woman with a hot temper. She controls dad and makes the decision. It seems whatever thing she says stays and no one’s changing that.

Elsa’d never thought Mia would kick Marina out of her life after everything. She supports Marina. Assists her. Loved her more and always believe any shit she says.

Why did she have to kick out Marina? So all this was pretence. Pretends to believe every shit Marina says but why?

Elsa halt the car outside Alice’s apartment and she step out. she shut the door and stalk inside the lobby. she’s tired as hell and she don’t feel okay. This is too much. Marina is pregnant for a bartender and she’s been cut out from the family. Elsa felt the need to speak to her parents after the vacation. If they don’t take her back , Marina is gonna suffer. She’s already dropping out of college.

” Hey guys.” Elsa smile as she shut the door behind her.

Oliver and Lucas were there , watching a movie and arguing at the same time. They stop arguing as they grins at her .

” What’s going on ?”

” We’re arguing over money heist.” Lucas answers for them.

” I said Tokyo is the worst character ever because she’s self centered and rude. Annoying , too showy, and to top it all selfish. She uses your problems to laugh in your face.” Olivia said.

Elsa cross her arms and look among them waiting for another debate.

” You see. Olivia is just a liar. I believe Tokyo is one of the best. She’s fearless.” Alice protests.

” Fuck fearless….” Olivia cut in.

” Let’s be sincere , Berlin and professor is the best characters here. Tokyo or whatever is really shit.” Lucas said.

Elsa smile and chuckle.

” Are you guys done ?” She ask. They look at themselves as they shift their gaze to her.

Joining them in this conversation, then they ain’t getting out of it. Elsa really don’t watch it that much but if she had to pick the best characters then she’s choosing professor and Berlin. she don’t wanna argue with them either.

Suddenly they raise up their voices and start arguing again. Their voices fill the living room and it’s so loud. Elsa drop her keys and leave them to their argument.

She go to the kitchen and sit on the counter to eat cereal , she really haven’t ate anything. She think they made omelette and even meatballs. Elsa drop the cereal and serve the omelette on her plate. Their argument hasn’t stopped yet and she’s enjoying it. She stuff meatballs in her mouth and pick up a fork and bottle water.

She eat and they are still arguing. She’s already tired of their nuisance. Elsa drop the plate and wash her hands. she go to the living room and switch off the TV. she connect her phone to the speakers in the house and play a song on her playlist. They stop at once.

” You guys are gonna like this song.” Elsa sway to the song as they relax.

God , so much for having friends.

” Did you really have to stop our argument this way.”

Elsa roll her eyes and sit in between Olivia and Alice.

” I have news and it’s bad.” She announce.

” Is it gonna stop us from traveling ?” Lucas asks.

” It depends. You wanna hear it ?” Elsa ask and look at each of them.

” Okay.”

She turn down the volume of the music and sigh deeply.

” Marina is pregnant.”

Silence.

Alice don’t really look surprised , Elsa already told her the truth after she later called back. Lucas looks at Olivia and then Alice.

“Carlos got her pregnant ?” Olivia asks.

“Not Carlos or any of her boyfriends. Its a long story, she tried to abort the baby but shes too weak or something, i find her and took her to the hospital, the doctor explained she had had many abortions already and if she attempts again, he’s not sure she’s going to make it out. At first she said she doesn’t know who’s responsible, She even lied to her friend Sean, that she doesn’t know who but when mom heard the news and came over, She’s forced to speak who the father is” Elsa explain.

” So who’s responsible ?” They finally ask.
