Unbreakable Love His Passion for Her Transcends Death

Chapter 344

The following morning, Yvette was eager to prepare carrot oatmeal, only to discover that there were no carrots left. Despite her extensive search, she couldn't locate any. Hence, she had to improvise with othe ingredients.

Meanwhile, Xavier had left early in the morning, claiming he was headed to the hospital.

In the dimly lit basement, Claude slowly opened his eyes to find himself tightly bound to a chair. His forehead was bleeding, and there were painful wounds all over his body.

From across the room, a voice broke the silence. "Mr. Lane, he's tough. I brought in 15 guys, and every single one of them got hurt. It took a lot of effort to restrain him," Mark reported to Xavier.

Claude glanced in the direction of the voice and spotted Xavier sitting on the chair across from him, exuding an air of nonchalance.

Mark noticed that he had regained consciousness and quickly informed Xavier, "He's awake."

Claude knew that Xavier's subordinates were behind the attack

yesterday. No one else had been aware of his visit to find Yvette, and his foreign enemy certainly didn't possess such capabilities.

He had been living too peacefully, forgetting to remain vigilant and failing to have his bodyguard accompany him.

Claude smirked. "Xavier, do you honestly believe that Yvvy will accept you if you kidnap me? If she truly wishes to reconcile with you, she wouldn't have children with me." Xavier was visibly upset. "Are you sure? What if you're gone?"

Claude replied calmly, "She'll hate you even more if you kill her children's father."

Being a man, he understood how to deeply wound another man's heart. Undoubtedly, this statement struck a chord with Xavier.

However, Xavier was determined not to let Claude go. His subordinates relentlessly kicked Claude, who tightly pursed his lips, determined to remain silent.

Mark observed this with admiration for Claude. If only Claude wasn't pursuing Yvette, he would truly deserve to be called a real man. After Claude collapsed, Xavier stood up. "Throw him out. Let God decide whether he lives or dies." He had never gone as far as killing someone.

"Yes, sir."

Xavier returned to the private residence that Mark had arranged for him, and immediately took a shower to diminish the lingering smell of blood.

By the time he finished changing his clothes, a medical team was waiting outside to examine him.

Although his vision remained impaired, he was determined to reclaim his memory. He no longer wished to rely on secondhand information to learn about his relationship with Yvette.

"Mr. Lane, it seems that the medication you recently took has started to take effect, triggering the retrieval of memories from time to time."

"You'll need to undergo treatment once a week in the future. It's crucial that you remain calm after each session. I believe that you'll regain all of your memories in a short period," reassured the doctor. Xavier went home after his treatment. It was already 4:00 pm, but Yvette still hadn't returned.

Karen Stanton, their neighbor from next door, knocked and handed him a piece of homemade smoked bacon. "Mr. Lane, this is homemade. Here."

Xavier was about to refuse when Karen asked, "Mr. Lane, have we met somewhere before? You look like a celebrity."

Xavier thought about Jeremiah's appearance on TV before responding icily, "I don't believe we've met before." Afterward, he drew a check and handed it to Karen. "Thank you for the food. Please fill in the amount yourself." Karen glanced at the check, perplexed.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

Xavier remained silent and promptly shut the door. He couldn't afford to reveal his true identity to anyone at this point. Besides, it would still take some time to establish his new company. Sensing Xavier's attitude, Karen became displeased and declined to accept the check.
