Chapter 346
Yvette had returned to Sangine County to accompany Viola during her last days. She didn't want Viola to have any regrets before she passed. Yet, she hadn't expected to be involved with Xavier and the rest of the Lane family.
Pulling away from her thoughts, Yvette replied, "I'll release the next song during Christmas."
She had finishing writing the song. Yet, there were still some minor imperfections that troubled her.
"Alright." Cynthia typed away on her keyboard. "I'll announce it on all major platforms.
"Okay, sure."
Since Yvette had become popular, she had started to announce her new releases online, unless the songs were meant for her close friends. After the announcements, companies and singers would reach out, asking for quotations.Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
Usually, Cynthia was the one in charge of discussing about the price and collaboration matters. The only exception had been last time, when Yvette had lacked money to run the company and had resorted to finding Tony.
Now that the company wasn't short of money, Yvette decided to follow her original
rules.
She would have to see if the singer matched her song first. Money wouldn't be considered-hence, one couldn't necessarily acquire her song even if they were rich. The news about Cameron's song being released on Christmas became a trending topic the moment it was announced. It garnered attention from both domestic and
international media.
When Daphne saw the news, she immediately told Laura to negotiate for it.
If she could secure the song, she would have no problems with her comeback. Yet, many people far richer and more powerful than her wanted the new song too.
At the same time in Maursko, Zoey had just finished her ballet performance. Like an arrogant, graceful swan, she strutted down the stage and headed toward a wealthy businessman.
"Dad, have you seen the news? I want that song from Ms. Cameron." She was good-looking and slightly resembled Yvette.
Lawrence favored this daughter the most. He agreed, saying, "Alright. If it's something my lovely daughter wants, I'll get it for you." Zoey smiled. "Thanks, Dad."
"We should head back after the show's over. Or else, your mom will be worried."
"Okay."
Zoey took Lawrence's arm as a crew member draped a shawl over her. Before Lawrence got in the car, he said, "It's time to get you a boyfriend when you go back." She shook her head at his words. "I don't want a boyfriend. I want to stay with you
and Mom forever."
"Silly girl." He gazed at her lovingly.
Despite her words, she couldn't help but think of a certain rebel when she got in the car. If she really had to find a boyfriend, he had to be someone worthy of her.
In Tirion, Yvette saw the emails Cynthia had sent. They were about discussions
regarding the new song.
Cynthia said, "One of them, Mr. Yandell, says it's for his daughter, Zoey Yandell. She's a famous ballet dancer who loves your songs a lot.
"She wants to use your song as background music. I've seen her solo performances; they are truly fascinating. Mr. Yandell's quite rich, too. I think you can't go wrong with giving her the song." Cynthia sent the video of Zoey to Yvette as she spoke. "Boss, I'll send the video to you. Have a look and see if she fits your requirements."
"Okay."
Yvette clicked on the video after receiving it. It showed a woman dancing gracefully on a stage in a ballet theater..
Yvette's eyes widened in shock as her grip tightened on her phone.
