A Successful Career After Divorce

Chapter 865: Kiss

“How did you explain it to me? You said you were going to see Olivia? Why are you at a bar?” Brendon’s voice grew heavier with each word, his teeth clenched as he stared at Ranita, making her spine stiffen.

Help!

She didn’t lie on purpose.

“Brendon, I can explain!” Ranita tried to struggle, looking pitifully at the man with tears in her eyes. “I didn’t mean to deceive you, but my mom insisted I come…”

“I just turned down Leon. He understood, so nothing happened between us!”

Ranita thought miserably how unlucky she was! Caught last time, and caught again this time!

“Brendon, you followed me again! This behavior is wrong!” Ranita tried to catch Brendon’s fault to gain an upper hand, but Brendon chuckled lowly, “I didn’t follow you!”Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

“Then why are you here?” Ranita sneered coldly. “You wouldn’t be out for fun, would you?”

“Brendon, are you here to have fun at the bar?”

Brendon remained calm. “A project manager asked me out for a drink. I’m working!”

“And you? Here on a date with another man!”

“Ranita, you’re too much! You have me, yet you deceive others.”

This accusation was serious!

“I didn’t! I told you… I had no choice! My mom insisted on setting me up, and Leon already agreed to talk to her.”

“Heh, just one drink and you’re so familiar?!” Brendon said, his warm fingertips moving from her neck to the corner of her eye.

His fingers gently caressed.

Her cheeks were tinged with the scent of alcohol, her skin smooth and pink, warm and soft like jelly. Brendon felt a pang in his heart, an inexplicable ache.

“No! I’m not familiar with Leon! I already told him no…” Ranita suddenly felt very wronged.

“Brendon, it’s because of you! You left such a bad impression on my mom. If you were better, I wouldn’t be forced into blind dates!”

Ranita pouted angrily at Brendon, her red cheeks looking extremely cute, making Brendon’s heart soften and ache.

“You jerk…” Before she could finish, Brendon lowered his head and kissed her.

Ranita couldn’t refuse, kissed until she was almost suffocating.

Her legs were already weak, and now even her waist felt soft, unable to stand steadily. Ranita blushed and lightly punched him. “Jerk, you only know how to bully me!”

Her voice was sweet and seductive.

Brendon’s body tensed as he listened, staring at the woman with heavy breaths, wanting to devour her whole.

“Ahem! People inside… can you come out? You can continue at home.” Suddenly, a teasing voice came from outside. Ranita immediately pushed Brendon away, feeling too embarrassed to face anyone.

Brendon glanced at her, then calmly opened the door and walked out with her in his arms.

Ranita didn’t dare lift her head the entire time. Once in the car, she angrily glared at Brendon like a little leopard, clutching a pillow and charging at him. “Brendon, look at you!”

Brendon reached out and pressed the woman into his arms, laughing happily. He said, “What are you afraid of? It was just a kiss; we didn’t do anything inappropriate in public!”
